Thanks to the Church of England, Amazon’s Alexa is taking people to church—or at least helping them find one.
The church recently launched a new program for Alexa that allows users to ask the digital assistant to read a daily prayer, quote scriptures like the Ten Commandments and even bless their meal.
Daily prayer resources are central to the skill, with the prayer for the day, as well as morning, evening and night-time prayers and a grace before meals all specially recorded.
The skill is also integrated with A Church Near You – our national church finder that gets 13 million page views a year to find the nearest services and events.[/lborder]
The Church of England is setting its sights on Google Play next.
And you thought the future of A.I. was bleak.
