You Can Stay at The Real ‘Lord of the Rings’ Hobbiton for Only $6 a Night

Have you ever watched a scene of a bunch of Hobbits singing in a kitchen and thought to yourself, “I wish I could be there.” Well now you can!

That’s right Tolkien nerds—sorry, fans—the original Hobbiton movie set from the Lord of the Rings franchise is available to rent on Airbnb, and it‘s somehow ridiculously affordable. At just $6 per night (excluding taxes and fees) up to four guests can stay for two nights.

The movie set has been open to visitors for over two decades, but this is the first time the New Zealand property owner has allowed superfans to stay the night.

“Back when The Lord of the Rings location scouts first discovered our working farm, we were only too welcoming to allow the Hobbits and their friends to set up home in our hillside oasis — and they obviously loved it so much they never left!” wrote Hobbiton co-founder and farm owner Russel Alexander on the Airbnb listing. “Now we’re inviting you to come and join the magic for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

The property gives guests private access to a personal Hobbit Hole and a behindthescenes tour of the set, including a look around the Millhouse and other landmarks from Peter Jackson’s trilogy. And if that‘s not nerd-vana enough, there will also be an evening banquet at the Green Dragon Inn with a feast featuring “beef and ale stew, whole roast chickens, freshly baked breads and plenty of ale, plus Second Breakfast and Elevenses served daily.”

Nerd Paradise is available on Airbnb starting Dec. 13.
