We were created for relationship, to know and to be known.
But the apples get in the way; they always do.
The tree whispers my name; it lures me in.
But I run. I fall. I fight. I eventually take a bite.
Only to discover the peeling is not so appealing after all.
Another day, another rotten apple.
Hungry, I come to you.
We were created for relationship, to know and to be known.
But the love gets in the way; it never fails.
A story so romantic and true, how can anyone live up to it?
Is a rib all you require? If so, take mine. Take two.
Just wake me when love is right by my side.
Another day, another sleepless night.
Restless, I need you.
We were created for relationship, to know and to be known.
But the serpent gets in the way; he always does.
Unnoticed, he slithers into day.
Uninvited, he seeks to stay.
Unattended, he strikes his prey.
Who says I can’t eat these apples?
Who stopped and made you God?
Maybe Eve was framed?
Maybe another Eve isn’t what Adam needs after all?
Another day, another Fall.
Confused, I seek you.
