Asbury Announces New Service Schedule—Campus Will Be Closed to the Public After Today

Asbury University has announced schedule changes for the renewal services that have been happening on their campus since February 8. The biggest change is that to accommodate the large crowds, services will be moving off campus.

More than 15,000 people are reportedly showing up each day to the small college campus in Willmore, KY, to attend the ongoing services in Hughes Auditorium on Asbury’s campus—overwhelming roads and infrastructure. The school has been working with local law enforcement to notify incoming visitors that parking and seating have exceeded capacity.

To make the services more manageable, the school has announced that the last public worship service on campus will be today, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, February 21, services available to the public will be held at another location in the central Kentucky area. Asbury will host evening services for college-age and high school students (25 and under) through Thursday, February 23.

Asbury will live stream limited portions of services at asbury.edu/outpouring through Thursday, February 23.

Live Stream Schedule:

  • Monday, February 20
    • 1–4 p.m. (concluding public worship service of this recent outpouring on Asbury University’s campus)
    • 7:30–10 p.m. (high school through college age only)

    • 7:30–10 p.m. (high school through college age only)
