Online Scripture resource Bible Gateway has reportedly been viewed over 14 billion times in its 25 years. On its 25th anniversary, the site shared its top searches.
Bible Gateway, a Bible search engine, was created in 1993 and is home to over 200 versions of the Bible in over 70 languages.
The group shared that “love” is the top keyword searched on the site. Among other popular keyword searches are “faith,” “peace,” “hope,” “healing,” “grace” and “forgiveness.”
The Bible verse searched and shared most often by users is John 3:16— “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
The second most searched and shared verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord. ‘Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
