Rev. Philip Chryst is a pastor in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen who has a novel approach to writing his sermons: he doesn’t. Rather, he prefers to let his congregation submit questions, topics and issues they’re interested in, and then he goes through them and uses those as the point of his weekly message. He’s calling it WikiWorship. It’s a releasing of control to the crowds, and it’s taken a leap of faith. “WikiWorship, in many ways, is kind of evangelism but in a very post-modern way,” Chryst told Religion News Service. “It’s scary like those children’s preaching moments in church because you don’t know what’s going to come out of a child’s mouth” …
