42% of Young Couples Say Smartphones Are a Relationship Distraction

Just in time for Valentines Day, the Pew Research Center has released the findings of a new study that show how technology is impacting relationships. Even though 21% of adults say that digital technology like text messages and online contact have made them feel closer to their loved one, not all of the research was positive. They found that 42% of young couples (ages 18-29) say that smartphones were a relationship distraction, and at least 8% had actually argued about the amount of time the other spends online …
