A group led by anthropologist Thomas Levy of the University of California-San Diego, suggests that they may have discovered King Solomon’s copper mine. The team of archaeologists excavated an ancient production center at Khirbat en-Nahas down to its original soil. Adiocarbon dating of some of the artifacts place the mine in the 10th century BCE which correlates with the Bible time of David and Solomon. Of course, not everyone agrees on the dates and the findings.
However, we can only imagine that the discovery went down exactly like this.
