It’s official. We have elected the first African American president in the history of the United States. Considering that only forty years ago the way was paved for black voters, this is a big moment in American history whether you voted Republican or Democrat (or Independent). However, our country is split (not evenly, of course) over two opposing philosophies of politcs in John McCain and Barack Obama. For some, this election was a big dissapointment, for others it’s a time filled with hope.
