eHarmony and Same-Sex Matches

The popular match-making site, eHarmony, has decided to settle a lawsuit against them for discrimination and they have agreed to provide a separate site to match same-sex couples. The new site will be called Compatible Partners. The settlement with New Jersey’s Civil Rights Division was the result of a complaint by New Jersey resident Eric McKinley filed against the online matchmaker in 2005. eHarmony will pay McKinley $5,000 in the settlement and $50,000 in administrative fees.

Do you think it was right for eHarmony to settle?
