A Michigan pastor decided to live like Jesus for one year after reading A.J. Jacobs’ The Year of Living Biblically. Pastor Ed Dobson, who is vice president of spiritual formation at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Mich., spent a year eating kosher, abstaining from shaving, observing the Sabbath and reading through the Gospels every week. Dobson said the hardest part of the experience was blessing those who he saw as enemies. The decision to live like Jesus also affected Dobson politically. When deciding on which candidate Jesus would vote for, Dobson, who had never voted for a Democrat, cast his vote for Obama.
