Bus Ad Rankles Christians

A new ad on the side of buses in Broward County, Fla., is drawing criticism. The ad, funded by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), reads, “ISLAM: The Way of Life of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad.” The ad has drawn protests from 50-plus people from a group called Americans Against Hate, because they said the ad implies that followers of Christianity and Judaism are Muslims. The group also accused the CAIR of funding Hamas. Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jim Naugle attended the demonstration, saying, “I think it’s inappropriate for the county to accept advertising for a group that is funded by Hamas. The county should pull those buses off the street and remove those ads.” The CAIR claims the ad was meant to foster better relations between the three religions.
