Pope Goes to Africa

Pope Benedict XVI embarks this week on his first papal visit to Africa. The continent is currently the fastest-growing region for Roman Catholicism. The pope will visit Cameroon and Angola, and says he has in mind “the victims of hunger, disease, injustice, fratricidal conflicts and every form of violence which unfortunately continue to afflict adults and children, without sparing missionaries.”
