An online petition opposing President Barack Obama’s appearance at Notre Dame University has garnered more than 165,000 signatures. Obama is slated to deliver the school’s commencement address. Many Catholics are angered due to Obama’s stances on abortion and embryonic stem cell research, and say his participation in the commencement is contrary to the university’s core beliefs.
