Salvation Army to the Rescue

The Salvation Army has announced that it will be distributing $3.6 million to assist newly unemployed families throughout the Midwest. The denomination called an economic summit in February to discuss the economic crisis facing the United States, and voted to make immediate grant money available to aid the newly unemployed. The money will go solely to help those who are in financial crisis due to unemployment occurring after October 8, 2008.
