Is This a ‘Pizza Burrito’ or Just An Extra Large Hot Pocket?

Here’s a new food item has America introduced this week to clog your arteries: the pizzarito.

Russo’s House of Pizza in Pearl River, New York is home to the pizza burrito—stuffed with pasta and mozzarella sticks.

Russo’s also serves a pizzarito stuffed with spaghetti and garlic knots. What more could you want, honestly?

According to Michael Russo, owner of this killer pizza restaurant, the pizzarito equates to about six or seven pounds, and is “definitely not based off your 2,000-calorie-a-day diet.” He says that it takes about three people to finish a full one.

Russo shared that he discovered the pizzarito when he removed a ruined pizza from the oven. “I rolled it up to throw it away, and I stopped and said, ‘I think I got something here.’”

Once Food Insider shared this specialty burrito, the Twitterverse exploded, with users asking, “What is America trying to achieve here?”

And our personal favorite: “Isn’t this just a hot pocket?”
