A Quarter of Young Adults Fear Getting Fired for Risqué Social Media Posts

According to a new study conducted by the legal website FindLaw.com, regrettable social media posts are extremely common among 18-to 34-year olds. Almost 30% said that they fear they have posted a comment or picture that could hurt future job prospects or cause them to lose their current job. About 74% said that they have removed a photo or post to avoid a “negative reaction” from an employer. One of the site’s editors, who is also an attorney, warned, “It’s best to assume that anything that you post could live on the Internet forever, and to think accordingly before hitting the ‘Post’ button.” So maybe posting a comment bragging about your hilarious Bible camp prank wasn’t such a great idea …
