Nearly Half of All Americans Don’t Want Atheist In-Laws

Whenever you introduce your family to your special someone, there’s always a little bit of nervousness. How will the family react to your significant others’ political beliefs, tattoos or picky eating habits? Well, a new study says there’s really only one thing you need to be concerned about: their beliefs. According to a new study from Pew Research, a full 49% of Americans don’t want a family member marrying an atheist. By contrast, only about 10% are concerned about bringing in someone of a different political party and 14% would be unhappy if the person lacked a college education. And, for the total flip side, only 9% of Americans would be concerned about a family member marrying a self-described “born again Christian” …
