On comedian Pete Holmes’ hit HBO show “Crashing”, he plays a guy who grew up in a conservative family, went to a Christian college, married his college sweetheart and then had his whole life turned upside down by a difficult divorce right as his standup career starts to take off. That story, as it happens, is based on Pete’s own life.
