Yesterday, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Chris Pratt took to Instagram to unveil of his very own star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In the caption, he used the opportunity to send out a Bible verse about crediting God for success and expressed gratitude for everyone in his life who has helped him.
“Psalm 126:3 ‘The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.’ Thank you to the many, many people who empowered me to follow my dreams.”

As fans of the actor know, he’s frequently vocal about his Christian faith, and in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, he describes how he came to know God.
When he was young, living in Hawaii with friends, he was sitting outside of a grocery store, looking for someone to buy him beer because he was underage. Pratt explained, “A guy named Henry came up and recognized something in me that needed to be saved.”
He went on,

It should’ve made me nervous but didn’t. I said, ‘Why are you asking?’ He said, ‘Jesus told me to talk to you …’ At that moment I was like, I think I have to go with this guy. He took me to church. Over the next few days I surprised my friends by declaring that I was going to change my life.
