On Sunday, City Church pastor Judah Smith and his wife Chelsea addressed the events of Charlottesville during their Sunday morning services.
In the message, (which you can watch in its entirety here, starting at about the 2:40 mark), Smith tells his congregation that racism is a spiritual problem, and ignorance toward its prevalence is not an excuse to do nothing.
He challenges Christians to stand up to racism, to stand beside the marginalized, to see the prospective of others and fight oppression and injustice. He then prayed for the victims of racism and those who “have been deceived” by hateful ideology.
