New Netflix Film 'The Most Hated Woman in America' Takes on Religious Liberty
Netflix screened the premiere of their new movie, The Most Hated Woman in America, at South by Southwest this week.
The film dives into the life, disappearance and death of the Madalyn Murray O’Hair, an infamous atheist activist in the late ’90s.
O’Hair gained notoriety for her 1963 lawsuit to keep Scripture from being read in public schools and then she founded the American Atheists organization later that same year. She was subsequently dubbed “The Most Hated Woman in America” by Life magazine in 1964.
It’s available for streaming on March 24.
