Well, this is weird.
Scientists in Egypt recently used a high-tech scanning technology to get an idea of what’s inside The Great Pyramid of Giza and found something unexpected: A previously hidden chamber deep inside the structure.
The president of the nonprofit Heritage Innovation Preservation Institute—the group that led the project—told The Los Angeles Times, “What we are sure about is that this big void is there. But we need to understand [it] better.”
The construction of the pyramids has long fascinated historians, who still don’t fully understand what’s inside of the massive structures.
