Yesterday, Vine released its new, highly anticipated Android app, but thanks to a mischievous teenager with a taste for Rick Astley tunes, the big unveiling didn’t go as planned. High schooler Will Smidlein says he was just trying to hack the app to see if he could bypass Vine’s 6-second video length limitation, and decided to use Astley’s music video for the classic “Never Gonna Give You Up” as a test.
