Christian Persecution in Syria Is Getting Worse

As the civil war in Syria continues, having left hundreds of thousands dead and more than 2 million displaced, attacks targeting Christians have become increasingly common. It’s estimated that out of the 2 million Christians once living in the country, 45,000 have been forced to flee. This week, a Christian member of the Syrian parliament told the Haaretz news outlet, “The radical organizations are now attacking [Christian] children to get their parents to leave the country. In the last few days, five Christian schools have been attacked where children have been killed.” In one mass strike on a Christian community, 45 believers were murdered and tortured to death.
