One of the sadly indisputable facts about the superhero movie boom is that it’s a boy’s club. Sure, Black Widow and Gamora are a significant part of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, but the movies are named after men. And if Marvel’s bad, DC is worse, populating their films with distressed damsels. But that’s about to change—well, it’ll change at some point in the next six years. Having gone through the ranks of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Flash, Green Arrow and Constantine, DC has finally decided to make a movie about the most famous female superhero of all time, a decision that has taken them a bizarrely long time to make. Gal Gadot, who we’ll be introduced to in the upcoming Superman V Batman movie, will star.
Oh, yeah, and there’s an Aquaman movie coming too, which ought to excite all the Aquaman fans out there …
