Hackers Release Sony’s Movies to the Internet for Some Reason

Over the weekend, a squad of hackers going by the name “Guardians of Peace” (sure) or #GOP for short (also, sure) infiltrated Sony’s digital safe and dropped a series of upcoming releases to the Internet. They also threatened to release the emails and personal information of a series of a-list celebrities, including Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, Jonah Hill and others. Why they did this, or why hackers do anything they do, remains a question for the ages.
