New U2 Album Due Out this Fall

According to Rolling Stone, U2 and producer Danger Mouse are wrapping up work on the band’s next album, which is expected to be released this fall. Though there haven’t been a lot of details about U2’s first release since 2009’s No Line on the Horizon, it may feature a collaboration with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who was recently seen at the studio with the band. According to a Globe and Mail interview with music producer Daniel Lanois, who recently visited with Bono to preview a few tracks from the upcoming record, the new tunes have “shades of Achtung Baby” …
