The day has arrived: Pillow fighting is now an actual sport in Japan. “The All Japan Pillow Fighting Association” is holding tournaments in the country and even is selling officially sanctioned combat pillows. The new “sport” however likely looks a lot different from the melee-style battles you remember from the sleepover days of your childhood. In competitive pillow fighting, teams arrange on opposite sides of a basketball court, and, shielded by comforters, throw the pillows at each other.
