An investigation by NBC News has reportedly found 11 incidents in which Brian Williams embellish stories related to his news reports. The internal investigation was sparked by an apology Williams issued earlier this year, after it came to light that the anchor exaggerated a story about having his helicopter hit by a rocket while embedded during the Iraq war. Soldiers present disputed his claim, saying that a different helicopter nearby was shot, not the one Williams was on. According to a report in The Washington Post, the investigation team found numerous other inconsistencies, though it is not known when they will make their findings officially public.
