Dr. Craig Spencer, who found out he had contracted Ebola in Guinea after returning home to New York several weeks ago, has been released from the hospital after being successfully treated for the virus. Dr. Spencer was working with Doctors Without Borders, helping Ebola patients in West Africa. The city’s Health and Hospitals Corporation release a statement informing the public that the 33-year-old now “poses no public health risk.” The announcement means that there are currently zero active cases of Ebola in the entire United States.
