You Too Can Own One of Those Epic Olympic Sweaters for Just $3,000

If you’re a fan of team U.S.A. or are a 50something elementary school teacher from the late ‘80s looking to update your sweater collection, we’ve got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that the Ralph Lauren website has sold out of their epic, $595 Olympic sweaters that look like Uncle Sam threw up on a Lord & Taylor cardigan. The good new is, you can still buy them on eBay, where they are currently being sold for prices north of $3,000. But don’t worry, for the reasonable three large, you’re getting fine, handcrafted sweater quality, made right here in the U.S.A. The manufacturer of the patriotic duds, told The Los Angeles Times, “One sweater takes more than 12 hours. Lots of hand whip-stitching, and it goes through many hands,” adding that they were employing an entire team of grandmas to meticulously stitch the heavily-patched, knitted shirts (that pair great with a white turtle neck!) …
