Fantasy’s been in hibernation for the past few years but, as genres do, it’s enjoying a lot of popularity right now with “Game of Thrones” and the fever-pitch anticipation for this Christmas’ “The Hobbit.” Fantasy is about as old as genres get in humanity, and for good reason: it calls us back to the truest thing about ourselves.
