Melanie Segard, a 21-year-old Frenchwoman with Down syndrome, did the weather report on a French public TV station earlier this week after a successful Facebook campaign.

The campaign, set up by Unapei, an organization that helps people with disabilities, was called “Melanie Peut Le Faire,” or Melanie Can Do It and was set up for inclusion and to fulfill Segard’s dream.

More than 200,000 people supported the campaign on Facebook.

The station trained Segard for four days on how to do the report and how to feel comfortable working with the green screen.

“I’m different, but I’d like to show everyone that I can do a lot of things,” Segard told the BBC.
