Uber Says Flying Cars Are Just a Few Years Away
If you call an Uber in L.A. in 2020, there’s a chance your “car” could be taking flight.
The company announced today that L.A. would join Dallas-Fort Worth and Dubai as major cities that are currently working with the ride-sharing company for a project they’re calling “UberAIR.”
Their engineers are also working with NASA to, as The Verge explains, “create a brand-new air traffic control system to manage these low-flying, possibly autonomous aircraft.”
They also released a video showing passengers cruising over traffic jams in a futuristic flying plane thing, that honestly, looks really cool.
The future is now.
