It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like—participants ride a board down the side of an active volcano at speeds up to 50 mph (video after the jump). The volcanic rock pebbles make for a bumpy, noisy and dangerous ride. Here’s hoping nobody ends up surfing actual lava anytime soon …
