Anna Golden’s Top Played Worship Artists

We all have a favorite worship artist — but who is your favorite worship artist’s favorite artist?

When we spoke to rising worship leader Anna Golden about her new album Church on The RELEVANT Podcast, we put her in the hot seat to answer this burning question.

“This is so tough,” Golden laughed. “And it’s not just because they are all my friends, but it really depends on how I’m feeling.”

After some careful thought and consideration — and a quick peak at her recently played — Golden shared her top five favorite worship artists.

1. Michael W. Smith

“I grew up in a really strict household where we weren’t allowed to have any sort of secular music, and I’m positive the first album I ever owned was Michael W. Smith’s Worship, which I love and literally changed me as a person,” Golden explained. “So he’s always going to be up there.”

2. Tasha Cobbs Leonard

Golden has worked with Gospel artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard for over five years, collaborating with Leonard on her music since 2017.

“Tasha has been such an influence in my life, and I am always, always listening to her music,” Golden said.

3. Abbie Gamboa

UPPERROOM worship leader Abbie Gamboa released her first solo worship album earlier this summer, and Golden can’t get enough of it.

“I have been living off Abbie’s new album,” Golden said, “which is no surprise since I love UPPERROOM so much.”

4. Brooke Ligertwood

Golden describes Australian-born worship singer Brooke Ligertwood is a “forever favorite” for her.

“I just can’t get enough of her voice and her music,” Golden shared. “I absolutely adore her.”

5. Brandon Lake

“I literally love anything that Brandon does,” Golden shared. “It’s so special and I love his songwriting is the way that he helps create every song he’s on.”
