The initial casting announcement for Straight Outta Compton, a biopic about hip-hop pioneer group NWA, looked very promising. But on Wednesday, a casting call was released on Sande Allesi Casting’s Facebook page (it appears to have been deleted), and it sort of summed up what people hate about Hollywood.
According to the casting call, a copy of which can be seen here, the movie is on the lookout for girls ages 18-30, who it divides into four groups: “A Girls” are “the hottest of the hottest” and can be any race. “B Girls” are “fine” and “light-skinned” with “small waists and nice hips,” citing Beyonce as a “prototype.” (Yes, not only is this thing grading girls, but Beyonce gets a “B.”) “C Girls” are African Americans “with a weave” and “medium to light skin tone.” While “D Girls” are “poor, not in good shape” with “medium to dark skin tone.”
You keep doing you, Hollywood …
