The duo of John Paul White and Joy Williams may be on an indefinite hiatus from their collaboration as The Civil Wars, but fans can still get a chance to hear some new songs this week. The duo recorded four covers during their sessions with producers Rick Rubin and Charlie Peacock, which were released on a vinyl EP in the fall, but they have announced that tomorrow fans can buy a digital version of the songs for the first time on iTunes. Along with a cover of Elliot Smith’s “Between the Bars” (which is streaming on NPR’s site), the four-track EP also contains new takes on tunes from Portishead, Michael Jackson and The Romantics …
