Netflix has a bunch of original movies coming your way in 2022, and they put together one big trailer for all of them to whet your appetite. Anyone whose fought off insomnia with a late night deep dive down the Netflix content well knows that their original projects are a pretty mixed bag, but the occasional jewel does pop up.
This year alone, we’ve got the Russo brothers’ Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas. How bad could that possibly be? And then, Netflix’s crown achievement, securing the exclusive rights to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out sequel, which will reunite Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc with an absolutely gobsmacking new cast (Dave Bautista! Jessica Henwick! Edward Norton! Kate Hudson! Janelle Monae! Leslie Odom Jr! Ethan Hawke! Jada Pinkett Smith! KATHRYN HAHN!) and, presumably, a whole new mystery to solve. The first Knives Out made a surprising fortune during its theatrical run, so Netflix getting the rights to the sequel is definitely a coup.
We also see the likes of Jason Momoa, Jamie Foxx, Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Charlize Theron and tons more. Good time for people who like Netflix movies!
