The world’s greatest couple is reuniting in a new movie. We’re, of course, referring to Michael Scott and Holly Flax of NBC’s beloved series The Office. According to Deadline, the duo is teaming up again to star in Carell’s latest drama Beautiful Boy, but this time their relationship doesn’t fare so well.
The film is based on David Sheff’s 2008 memoir Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction. Carell is locked into play David, the character wrestling with his son, Nic’s, addiction to methamphetamine, while his former co-star Amy Ryan, “will play Vicki, Nic’s mother and the ex-wife of Carell’s David.”
It’s safe to say the dynamic between Carell and Ryan will be different than what we’ve come to expect from them before, but we’re still excited to see the pair couple up on the big screen.
