Fresh off the heels of an award-worthy performance as Princess Diana in Spencer, Kristen Stewart will switch out a tiara for some heavyweights in A24’s Love Lies Bleeding.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the story is centered on the “extreme qualities it takes to succeed in the competitive world of bodybuilding.” It’s being described as a romance fueled by ego, desire and the American dream.
Stewart will not be bulking up for the role of a bodybuilder, instead portraying the “protective lover” of a bodybuilder. Rose Glass (Saint Maud) is set to direct.
Stewart’s performance as Princess Di was one of the most discussed of the 2021, with many audiences calling it the best performance of her career (they clearly had not seen her role as Bella Swan). Now that KStew is teaming up with A24, who just released the excellent Everything Everywhere All At Once, we’re expecting another huge hit.
