Four Albums Dropping This Month That We Can’t Wait to Hear

September is here, and beyond the start of Christian Girl Autumn, it’s a time to celebrate some exciting new music. Whether you’re into pop, worship, rock or something alternative, here’s five albums dropping this month that are guaranteed to make your month better.

Lauren Daigle – Lauren Daigle

After dropping the first part of her self-titled album in May, Lauren Daigle is gearing up to release the final missing piece of the puzzle. Daigle explained her unique release style was because she wanted to give each song a moment to breathe, and she hoped her message of encouragement was able to shine through. (We can confirm it totally does).

“It was long … listening from top to bottom, it was a chunk,” Daigle said. “When you’re listening to 20 … songs, some fall through the cracks because you’re just digesting so much content. And I was like, ‘Wait, I’ve put my heart and soul into every one of these songs.’ So I don’t want one of these songs to fall through the cracks simply because of the duration.”

Lauren Daigle drops September 8.

CAVES – NEEDTOBREATHE

NEEDTOBREATHE’s ninth studio album CAVES is the band’s “most ambitious project” yet. The album taps into the band’s journey of self-discovery over the past few years, exploring a new identity and embracing a freedom we haven’t seen from the band yet.

CAVES drops September 15.

Pioneer – Cory Asbury

Cory Asbury is exploring a new sound while still delivering the same message of God’s hope and love. “Country Cory,” as he lovingly refers to himself, has drawn from Nashville’s music scene to create an album unlike anything he’s ever released. But at the same time, Asbury sings about the fragility of the human experience in a way only he can. Whether it’s on “Kind” or “My Inheritance,” Asbury reminds listeners what the big picture in life is all about.

Pioneer drops September 15.

i really really hope so – LANY

We really really hope that i really really hope so exceeds everyone’s expectations. LANY has yet to disappoint us, and if their lead single, “congrats,” is any indication, the indie pop band is ready to take things to a new level. The band’s fifth studio is the first as a duo, but that doesn’t seem to have slowed them down at all. In May, the band shared via Instagram that they were ready for the “next chapter” of their lives (and we are, too).

i really really hope so drops September 29.
