HAIM Once Again Teams Up With Paul Thomas Anderson for ‘Lost Track’

HAIM has teamed up with frequent collaborator and unofficial fourth sister Paul Thomas Anderson for their latest music video, “Lost Track.”

PTA loves a good period piece, like in his 1970s-set film Licorice Pizza that starred — you guessed it — Alana Haim. This time, he steps back even further in time to the 1950s for “Lost Track.” The music video takes place at a fictional banquet club, with Danielle taking on the main role as a bored woman who is so over the scene playing out in front of her. Este and Alana seamlessly fit into the social club while Danielle plays the role of the family’s black sheep perfectly, singing of how she’ll “never get back but I’ve lost track” of who she once was.

This is the latest in a long line of PTA-HAIM collaborations. Previously, the creative team has worked on numerous music videos including “Little of Your Love” and “Summer Girl,” HAIM’s 2018 short film Valentine and the visual art for the band’s Women In Music Pt. III.
