“Newsweek” Goes On to That Great Big Digital Format In the Sky

Newsweek, a print magazine whose increasingly inflammatory headlines caused several analysts to assume the worst, announced this morning that it will be ending its 80-year print publication and be moving entirely to a digital format. So it goes. Print magazines are born. Print magazines move to digital. Circle of life. Editor-in-chief Tina Brown had this to say, “In our judgment, we have reached a tipping point at which we can most efficiently and effectively reach our readers in all-digital format. This was not the case just two years ago. It will increasingly be the case in the years ahead.” So, Newsweek will be doing some sort of online version of their print magazine, evidently?
