Not a Drill: Krispy Kreme Will Give Vaccinated Customers a Free Donut Every Day All Year Long

Being vaccinated has all kinds of upsides. For one, you’re protected from COVID-19. Secondly, you can hang out with other vaccinated people just like old times, and help move the world back towards some semblance of normal. Also, there’s the fact that you’re protecting vulnerable populations from getting sick, which is obviously good. Oh, and free donuts. Don’t forget those.

Yeah, Krispy Kreme has announced that anyone with a vaccination card proving they’ve had at least their first dose can show up and get a donut on the house. Not just once but every single day all year longA cynical person might wonder if the potential health downsides of eating a donut a day cancel out some of the vaccination benefits but we’re not doctors over here. An even more cynical person might wonder how Krispy Kreme intends to keep the lights on once 80 percent of Americans are vaccinated and copping free donuts, but that’s not our problem. Our problem is trying to get our hands on a vaccination so that we can not get COVID-19 and also get that sweet donut.

And that’s not all. Krispy Kreme is apparently throwing an olive branch to anti-vaxxers (or those who can’t get vaccinated because they had the virus within the last couple months) and come in for a free donut on Mondays between March 29 through May 24. So [Oprah voice] you get a donut, you get a donut, everybody gets a donut!
