As you may have heard, Quentin Tarantino was very upset when a copy of his newest script The Hateful Eight leaked. He’s so upset, in fact, that he’s decided to scrap the project altogether. Following that news, Gawker found and leaked a copy of the script and, hoo boy, Tarantino is fit to be tied.
For the unfamiliar, Gawker is an online journalism site that has garnered a lot of controversy for blurring the lines as far as what’s considered “ethical” journalism. Their sister site Jezebel recently made waves for publishing an un-doctored version of Lena Dunham’s Vogue photoshoot, which presumably prompted a line of dialogue in last Sunday’s episode of Girls which called Gawker “a bunch of jealous people that make a living appealing to our basest desire to see each other kicked while we’re down.”
But that’s a pin prick compared to the haymaker Tarantino’s winding up, which includes an eviscerating legal complaint calling the company “predatory” and “brazen” …
