There is not much controversy regarding the death of alternative rock icon/dorm room poster staple Kurt Cobain. The Nirvana frontman’s brief life ended very suddenly and tragically in April of 1994 of a self-inflicted shotgun wound and what would have otherwise been a fatal amount of heroin, as an autopsy later found. Or, so we’ve always been told. It turns out Seattle police had a few more questions, and briefly reexamined the circumstances surrounding Cobain’s death following the release of a few new photographs of the scene of his death, which had been lying around undeveloped for the past twenty years. The investigation turned up no new information, and police have said the photographs will not be made available to the public.
