The writer’s strike is officially over, and in just a few days late-night television will be back.
The members of the “Strike Force Five” pod — Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers and John Oliver —announced on social media that they would be moving on from their audio-only podcast to head back to their late-night offices.

Last Week Tonight With John Oliver will premiere on Sunday, October 1, while The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Late Night With Seth Meyers will return the following night on Monday, October 2.
While actors continue to picket, they will be permitted to appear on talk shows as long as they refrain from promoting any struck work, which will surely lead to some, uh, interesting conversations. This is due to these programs falling under a different section of the contract.
Daytime talk shows are also expected to return, as well as development projects that have been on pause since the nearly five-month-long strike began.
