
In honor of Parks and Recreation’s 100th episode last night, The Hollywood Reporter ran this interview with the show’s producer and co-creator Mike Schur. Along with discussing his favorite moments from the series, how he’d like it to end and why he wants a cameo from Hillary Clinton, Schur was asked “what a Parks spinoff might look like.” Schur said that a show about the Sapersteins family—Jean-Ralphio, his sister Mona-Lisa (played by the hilarious Jenny Slate) and their father portrayed by the always-amazing Henry Winkler—is “the funniest one we talk about.” Schur cautioned that the concept is “purely for our own internal laughing” (especially considering Parks falling ratings), but he added, “I’d totally watch a family comedy where Henry is the dad and Ben and Jenny are his idiotic children who have nothing to offer the world.” So would we Mr. Schur.
